The Rosy Note | Watercolour Workshop

June is in full swing and the roses are blooming, so what better way to mark this special time of year than to paint a rose-themed watercolour greeting or place card! Whether you want to learn a beautiful new skill to hand craft stationery for an upcoming wedding, a summer garden party, or simply want to create a meaningful, handmade gift, this afternoon is for you. Join me for a peaceful Sunday afternoon of painting, learning watercolour techniques, sipping herbal tea and meeting new friendly faces. I’ll guide you every step of the way through demos, hands-on practice and finally, painting your own beautiful rose themed watercolour card. Max 6 guests, so make sure to secure your spot! This workshop will be led in English. What you'll learn: During this 2.5 hour workshop we'll learn to paint roses and leaves in a loose, flowing and expressive style. We'll also be experimenting with shimmering metallic watercolours for delicate gold details and learning to use washi tape to mask off areas for satisfying crisp borders to write your greeting, message or name on. We'll begin the workshop by first practicing the different botanical elements, drawing on wet on wet watercolour techniques, brush control and colour mixing to bring depth, vibrancy and balance to your artwork. Once you're feeling confident, you'll put what you've learnt into practice by creating your own rose themed card.
