6-WEEK INTERMEDIATE CERAMIC COURSE

Have you already tried your hand at ceramics and do you want to delve deeper, then join us for this 6-week course for advanced participants.

In this intermediate course, you will work independently on your projects. The instructor can provide guidance and advice along the way. It is a course without formal teaching, so it’s best if you are familiar with basic techniques such as coiling and slab techniques and have previous experience with engobe (slip colour). Practical Info Pris 1300 kr. + 3,75 kr. booking fee. The course spans over 6 Tuesdays, the course is 3 hours each time. The price includes instruction, 3,5 kg of clay (with the option to buy more), glaze, and firing. You can make things that are measuring up to 25 cm in width and height. For the first 5 times, will we give shape to the objects in clay, and there is an option to decorate them with clay colour (engobe). During the last session, we will glaze the ceramics, and there will be a demonstration for when we are glazing. The ceramics workshop is on the 3rd floor of Folkehuset Absalon. There is no elevator. Wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. Our ceramicists will guide you and give you advice, but we can’t guarantee e clay creations will make it through the firing.
