PAINT ON CLAY

Come and immerse yourself in painting with clay colours on your ceramics.

The workshop is on two Tuesdays. The first time you come, you make your clay object; it can be anything from a soap dish to a cup to a toothbrush holder or something completely different. We use our hands and simple tools to shape the clay. The second part of the workshop is dedicated to painting the clay creation. Afterwards, we glaze with a transparent glaze and burn your ceramics. Your finished item can be picked up in around a month. We will email you when the pottery is ready to be picked up. Practical Info The workshop is 2 hours per day and costs 300 kr. + 3,75 kr. booking fee to join. The ticket is for both days. We meet on both days at 19:00. The price includes teaching, materials, firing, and glazing, which Absalon’s ceramicists do. Absalon’s ceramics workshop is on the 3rd floor in the room called ‘Børnehavnen’ (The Kindergarten). You get up there by using the stairs at the bar. There is no elevator. Wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. Our ceramicists will guide you and give advice, but we can’t guarantee e clay creations will survive the firing process. NOTE: Remember to buy your tickets for the correct date below.
